As a clinical nurse specialist in the Advanced Practice Services department at Children’s Health, you will help make life better for children by collaborating with nursing and physician leadership to maintain high, quality care in the respective patient population(s).

  • You will critically analyze research findings and translate them into practice.
  • You will assist with standardization and compliance to nursing practice and serve as an expert for clinical practice policies and guidelines to direct care. 
  • You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • You will serve as a mentor for new and experienced nurses as well as leaders to achieve nursing excellence.


  • Preferred: At least two years of advanced practice provider experience
  • Preferred: At least two years of pediatric experience
  • Preferred: Experience in acute care or critical care


  • Required: Master’s (MSN) or doctoral degree (DNP or Ph.D.) in nursing
